Jason Fuller

Jason Fuller is the Managing Director and Global Development at Straife. Prior to joining, he worked for the office of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz beginning in February 2018 as the Southeast Texas Regional Director, where he regularly meets with elected officials, business leaders, stakeholders, and constituent groups to address their concerns and promote economic growth for the region. Prior to that, he was in the private sector, working from 2013 to 2018 at a public relations and government affairs firm representing corporate clients like Republic Services, HOK Architects, Andrews Kurt LLP, Houston METRO, and several others. Previously, from 1994 to 2013, he worked for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, originally on her campaigns, then on Capitol Hill and in Houston from 1997 until her retirement in 2013. When not in the political area, he spends his time bird hunting in South Texas, sailing the waters of his hometown Corpus Christi, traveling to off-the-beaten-path places like Machu Picchu in Peru, and trekking through Iraqi Kurdistan, skiing the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and bungee jumping off Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe – and all points in between. He has been active at the University of Houston since he was a student in the early 1990s where as president of the Student Government Association, he served for the first time on the UH Alumni Association Board of Directors and again on the UHAA board in the early 2000s for seven years when he chaired the President’s Council of the various constituent, special interest and college groups. He is a graduate of the UH College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences with a B.S. in Political Science and History. A native of Corpus Christi, Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from the University of Houston. He has volunteered with several area nonprofits, often on their boards of directors or chairing significant capital campaigns. Some of these include the Greater Houston Pachyderm Club, UH Hobby School of Public Affairs, Archie Dunham College of Business at HCU, Harris County Historical Commission, Glasstire, and DiverseWorks Artspace, among others.
