Biography: Sahib Aliyev
Sahib Aliyev is the Director of Business Development for the greater Caspian region at Straife. A renowned industry professional with over 28 years of experience, he has built his career primarily in the oil and gas, steel, and offshore wind sectors.
Over the course of his career, Sahib has held key business development roles with several international organizations, including Oceaneering International, ArcelorMittal International Luxembourg, Quantum Global Solutions, and Scottish Enterprise Energy Group—a government agency of Scotland that supports oilfield suppliers with a focus on both regional and international emerging markets.
In addition to his role at Straife, Sahib also develops Key Account Clients in the Caspian region and Central Asia for NORAMCO – North American Trade Corporation, based in Montgomery, Texas.
Sahib takes a proactive approach to business development and has extensive hands-on experience in:
- Asset integrity inspection and NDT (non-destructive testing)
- Subsea intervention and repair services
- Sales of offshore-grade structural steel within the Caspian region
He possesses comprehensive knowledge of the regional market, maintains strong relationships with key customers, and is recognized for his excellent communication skills.
Sahib holds a degree in Political Sciences from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a degree in Management from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
