Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası is President of the Paris Bosphorus Institute and a lecturer at Galatasaray University in Istanbul, specializing in international economic relations, sustainable development, and European integration. He holds honorary and advisory roles with leading organizations such as the European Council on Foreign Relations, The Atlantic Council, and the Global Relations Forum.

A graduate of Brussels and Istanbul Universities, he conducted research at the University of Brussels’s Center for International Strategic Studies and Institute for European Studies. Early in his career, he worked as a rapporteur for the European Commission’s Forward Studies Unit and for the intergovernmental conferences that prepared the Maastricht Treaty in 1992. He also held visiting researcher positions at Harvard, Georgetown, and Jerusalem Universities, focusing on EU decision-making, transatlantic relations, and international economic affairs.

From 1995 to 2007, Dr. Kaleağası served as EU Representative and later International Coordinator for TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association), where he led the establishment of representative offices in Washington DC, Paris, Berlin, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, and Dubai. Between 2016 and 2020, he was a Board Member and CEO of TÜSİAD, while also serving on BusinessEurope’s Executive Committee and contributing to OECD and G20/B20 initiatives.

He is a frequent speaker at international conferences on global strategy, international relations, business investment, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and ESG-related issues. He is the author of several books and publications on European affairs and international relations. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Knight by the President of France.
