Ambassador Bryza brings a distinguished career in international relations and energy security to Straife. Over his 23-year tenure as a U.S. diplomat, he served in pivotal roles, including Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, and Director on the National Security Council Staff at the White House. His expertise encompasses U.S. relations with Turkey, Cyprus, Greece, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus, along with significant experience in Caspian Basin energy security.

Ambassador Bryza holds a Bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University and a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. His contributions to international diplomacy have been recognized with prestigious honors, including Estonia’s Cross of Terra Mariana and Georgia’s Order of St. George.
