

Victor Salinas
Victor Salinas joined Straife in 2018 as Director of Operations in Ecuador. Currently, he is the Vice-President representing Straife in Ecuador.
His architectural experience started in Ecuador, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in architecture. After some years of architectural practice in Ecuador and Canada, where he obtained his Engineering Management degree. Victor worked with The Steinberg Collaborative and EDI Architecture in Houston, TX, focusing on mixed-use and high-rise residential development for almost four years. During this time, he was involved in various domestic and international projects, overseeing many aspects of architectural design and construction administration, including the review of all construction documents/specifications and multi-stage coordination among all vested disciplines.
He continued this trajectory as Project Architect for the most challenging project of his career, the design and construction of the Bome project, located in Bata, Equatorial Guinea. This project was a small self-sustain city composed of roads, bridges, office buildings, recreation buildings, and residential houses. As part of the design team and then as a Construction Manager of the large-scale Office Exxon-Mobil building constructed in Luanda, Angola. Several commercial, institutional, health, and residential projects in different African countries, such as Angola, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea, where he remained as the Director of Architecture and Construction for General Works, an Italian-owned firm. There, he expanded the breadth of his focus and experience overseeing an array of government projects that included large infrastructural (airports), business (hotels), and residential developments.
Over the last few years, Victor has worked for companies such as AECOM, Bovay Engineers, and Katerra as a Director of Construction and Vice-President, bringing his extensive experience in design and construction.
